Velocity Score
Agent Readiness ScoreLow

Three scores, refreshed weekly from live market signals rather than a once-a-year analyst report. Presence is how established a vendor is in the market right now. Velocity is how fast they are shipping, raising, and winning customers. Agent Readiness is how easily your own agents can build on them through an API, MCP server, SDK, or CLI. Scores are relative across the vendors we track; the raw inputs ship in the downloadable dataset.

The Solution & Approach

daydream sells the outcome, not the software. SEO agents do execution at scale and every customer is assigned a dedicated human "Growth Lead" who owns strategy, quality, and results. The company calls itself "a leading AI-native agency that delivers an unfair advantage in organic search with SEO agents and dedicated experts," and the homepage hero reads "Your unfair advantage in SEO & AI Search." The hybrid is the pitch. Not pure software, not a traditional agency, but services delivered through agents with a human expert in the loop.

The shape was assembled in stages. daydream started in 2023 as software automating programmatic SEO end to end, then acquired Positional (YC S21) in April 2025 to add editorial SEO, partnered with Scrunch AI in March 2025 to give every client AI-search visibility monitoring across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity by default, and rolled both into a V2.0 offering in May 2025 covering programmatic, editorial, technical, and AEO/GEO under one roof.

The category POV is borrowed from Y Combinator and used as external validation of timing. YC's Spring 2026 Request for Startups ranked AI-native agencies the #3 category it most wants built, on the thesis that a service company can "deliver the outcome faster, cheaper, and better and capture the value yourself" instead of selling a tool. daydream is one of the clearer instances of that thesis aimed at organic search. In May 2026 it began splitting the software line back out, launching Sunbeam as a fully autonomous SEO agent under a separate brand.

Best for

Startups and growth teams that want organic search and AI-answer visibility executed for them, with an outside team owning the work, rather than another dashboard to staff.

Pricing & trial

Pricing not public. daydream is sold as a services engagement, with the site routing to "Book a call," a Full-Service qualification check, or a waitlist rather than self-serve tiers.

Agent Experience

How you build on this platform (or wire it into your own agents):

Surface Available Docs
API No
MCP No
SDK No
CLI No
llms.txt No

Not a platform to build on. There is no public API, MCP server, or SDK, and the agents run inside the engagement, with Sunbeam as the separately branded product you can buy directly.
