Scrunch AI
Updated 2026-08-06AEO/GEO platform that measures how brands appear in AI answers and serves machine-readable content to AI crawlers, now a Sitecore company. Customers include Akamai, Lenovo, and ADP. Raised $19M before Sitecore acquired it in June 2026 for a reported $225M. Recent releases: the Agent Experience Platform relaunch, Scrunch MCP, and Agent Traffic Monitoring.
Three scores, refreshed weekly from live market signals rather than a once-a-year analyst report. Presence is how established a vendor is in the market right now. Velocity is how fast they are shipping, raising, and winning customers. Agent Readiness is how easily your own agents can build on them through an API, MCP server, SDK, or CLI. Scores are relative across the vendors we track; the raw inputs ship in the downloadable dataset.
The Solution & Approach
Scrunch built its position in the AEO/GEO category on a serve-side bet. Where measurement-first vendors track citations and report on them, Scrunch added the Agent Experience Platform: CDN-layer infrastructure that detects AI crawler traffic and routes it to a compressed, structured version of the site. The company said a typical pricing page drops from roughly 124K tokens to about 1.3K. It runs at the Akamai, Cloudflare, and Vercel layer, so the optimization happens in delivery, not just in a dashboard.
The product line relaunched in July 2026 under the Agent Experience Platform banner with three capabilities: Signals for automated detection of how AI agents represent a brand, Site Diagnostics for page-by-page recommendations that no longer require a CDN integration, and Optimizer for agent-ready content creation. Agent Traffic Monitoring, generally available since October 2025, separates AI visits by platform and by intent, distinguishing training and indexing crawls from retrieval, which is the one that signals a human buying decision in progress.
The POV runs through everything CEO Chris Andrew says publicly. "For humans, websites are now the last mile. For AI, the website is the starting point." And the line that reads as roadmap: "The future isn't visibility. It's action." Sitecore bought the company in June 2026 rather than build the capability, making Scrunch the first major exit in the AEO specialist cohort.
Best for
Enterprise brands that want to change what AI agents actually retrieve, not only measure what they cite, and that can put a CDN or website provider in the loop.

Agent Experience
How you build on this platform (or wire it into your own agents):
Strong: a public API reference, an llms.txt, and Scrunch MCP, which exposes not just read access to brand presence and citation data but write actions including creating brands, tracking prompts, and triggering site audits from inside Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot.
