HubSpot is a public CRM and customer platform that ships AEO measurement as a bundled feature rather than a standalone product. 306,446 customers, roughly $25B market cap, $911.7M in Q2 2026 revenue. Recent releases: Agent Hub and Agent Builder in public beta, the Agent CLI, and an expanded Claude connector.

Presence Score61Young product (beta Apr 2026) on ~300k HubSpot distribution
Velocity Score78Fast beta iteration; backed by HubSpot machine
Agent Readiness ScoreLowNascent product; no dedicated AEO agent surface

Three scores, refreshed weekly from live market signals rather than a once-a-year analyst report. Presence is how established a vendor is in the market right now. Velocity is how fast they are shipping, raising, and winning customers. Agent Readiness is how easily your own agents can build on them through an API, MCP server, SDK, or CLI. Scores are relative across the vendors we track; the raw inputs ship in the downloadable dataset.

The Solution & Approach

HubSpot sells AEO as a feature of a CRM. The AEO Grader and AEO Strategy Tools launched at INBOUND in September 2025 and reached 70,000 customers; eight weeks later HubSpot agreed to pay $30M cash for XFunnel, a bootstrapped Israeli startup founded in January 2025 that tracked brand visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other answer engines. The full HubSpot AEO product shipped April 14, 2026, the first AEO product from a major platform. CEO Yamini Rangan on the launch: "we're the #1 most visible CRM and our leads from AI engines are converting up to 3x better than other channels."

The pricing is the strategy. HubSpot AEO lists at $45/month billed annually for 25 tracked prompts, with a free AEO Grader. It is included at no additional cost for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, capped at 2,500 monthly answers, and Marketing Hub Professional's annual list price fell from $890 to $800/month in the same window. HubSpot then published its own head-to-head against Profound, whose Starter and Growth tiers run $99 and $399/month. For the install base HubSpot already has, the incremental price of AI-visibility measurement is zero. The honest limit is the cap: 2,500 answers does not reach the depth a $399 point tool sells.

The category POV is broader than price. HubSpot has been writing owned-media comparison pages naming Profound, Semrush, Otterly, and Rank Prompt, including matchups it is not part of, which is AEO practiced on AEO tools. Underneath sits Dharmesh Shah's platform line: "Agents can run on HubSpot. And agents can RUN HubSpot." HubSpot has committed to full API parity for agents and shipped the surfaces to back it, including remote and local MCP servers, a developer CLI, a separate agent-facing CLI, and Agent Hub plus Agent Builder in public beta as of July 2026.

Best for

Teams already on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise who want AI-visibility measurement inside the system of record they already run, rather than a standalone point tool.

$45/month billed annually for 25 tracked prompts as a standalone, included at no additional cost with 2,500 monthly answers for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, with a free AEO Grader as the entry point. Pricing.

Agent Experience

How you build on this platform (or wire it into your own agents):

Surface Available Docs
API Yes docs
MCP Yes docs
SDK Yes docs
CLI Yes docs
llms.txt No

One of the stronger platforms here to build on: a date-versioned REST API, remote and local MCP servers, a developer CLI plus a separate agent-facing Agent CLI in public beta, and a Claude connector on a stated recurring update cadence, with full API parity for agents as the published goal.
