Conductor is a legacy enterprise-SEO platform that has retrofitted wholesale for AEO/GEO. In April 2026 it launched AgentStack at Adobe Summit, bundling three layers: native LLM apps that run inside ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot; developer infrastructure (APIs plus an MCP server); and "turnkey" AEO agents pitched as taking content teams from insight to published, optimized content in under three minutes. It is one of the clearer cases of an incumbent shipping its own MCP server and native LLM-app surfaces rather than bolting an AI-visibility dashboard onto the old product.
The data layer came first. Conductor's 2026 AEO/GEO Benchmarks Report (November 2025) measured AI traffic at roughly 1.08% of website sessions across 10 industries, built from an index of 3.5M prompts, 17M AI-generated responses, and 100M+ citations. That proprietary AI-citation measurement is the substrate AgentStack's agents are meant to operationalize.
Conductor is also manufacturing the demand narrative for its own category. Its State of AEO/GEO CMO Investment Report claims 97% of CMOs saw a positive business outcome from AEO and that enterprises allocate an average 12% of digital budgets to it, figures worth reading with the commercial interest in mind. The foundation underneath is the SEO install base it consolidated through the Searchmetrics and ContentKing acquisitions, now being sold back into. CMSWire flagged Conductor's "90% reduction in reporting time" and "100x" content claims as not independently verified.
