Botify

Updated 2026-08-16

Enterprise SEO platform founded in 2012, now positioned as an AEO/GEO platform for large e-commerce and publisher sites, built on first-party crawl and log-file data. 500+ customers across 30 countries, roughly $85M raised. Recent releases: AgenticCatalog GA, Product Cards in AI Visibility, and PageWorkers at Edge in open beta.

Presence Score62~$82M, 500+ brands, Forrester Strong Performer
Velocity Score62Steady incumbent shipping; AEO additions ongoing
Agent Readiness ScoreHighAPI + MCP + llms.txt — strong agent stack

Three scores, refreshed weekly from live market signals rather than a once-a-year analyst report. Presence is how established a vendor is in the market right now. Velocity is how fast they are shipping, raising, and winning customers. Agent Readiness is how easily your own agents can build on them through an API, MCP server, SDK, or CLI. Scores are relative across the vendors we track; the raw inputs ship in the downloadable dataset.

The Solution & Approach

Botify is an incumbent retrofit. Since 2012 it has sold full-site crawling and LogAnalyzer, which reads raw server logs, to sites with millions of pages. That same substrate now points at AI answers. The log files that once measured crawl budget track GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, and ClaudeBot, and AI Visibility, shipped October 2025, measures brand mentions, citations, and sentiment inside Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.

The category POV is about where the data comes from. Against the wave of prompt-scraping AEO startups, Botify argues its measurement is "rooted in a brand's real search footprint," grounded in first-party crawls, Google Search Console, and log data, "rising above scraping prompts." It backs the position with its own telemetry, including an April 2026 analysis of roughly 7 billion log files showing OpenAI's web crawl tripled since GPT-5.

The 2026 releases move from measuring AI discovery to publishing for it. Agentic Feeds went to tech preview in March and reached GA as AgenticCatalog in June, turning reviews, Q&A, and product details into AI-optimized feeds for OpenAI and Google under the Agentic Commerce Protocol and Universal Commerce Protocol. PageWorkers at Edge, in open beta since July, lets a customer change what an AI crawler sees without shipping a site change.

Best for

Large e-commerce and publisher sites already running technical SEO at scale that want AI-answer visibility measured against their own crawl, log, and Search Console data rather than scraped prompts.

Pricing & trial

Pricing is not public. The only path is request-a-demo into a negotiated enterprise contract that includes managed services, with no self-serve tier and no free trial.

Agent Experience

How you build on this platform (or wire it into your own agents):

Surface Available Docs
API Yes docs
MCP No
SDK No
CLI No
llms.txt No

No public API, MCP, SDK, or CLI surface appears in the sources reviewed, and Botify's agentic products point outward, making a customer's content and product data legible to AI crawlers and shopping agents rather than exposing Botify itself as something to build on.

Analyst placement

Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Search Engine Optimization Solutions, Q3 2025, one of seven providers evaluated, with highest-possible scores in 11 criteria including Vision, AI-Integrated SEO, workflow automation, and technical SEO. Forrester called onboarding and managed services "top notch." The placement covers the SEO category Botify is retrofitting, not AEO specifically.
